BALLARD DNA PROJECT
During early exporations into the origins of our Y Haplogroup I compiled a heat map from about 90 test group samples to help establish groupings related to early surname origins.
This by no means proves people origins but demonstartes where names first occured in records that were avalaible for that time.
Where no suitable data was avalaible, ealiest known ancesters were used as an origin point and those found on mainland europe would have constituted the main body of that data.
The mojority would have been extracted from post WmQ times, when surnames were taking on Norman scribal forms. AJB.c. 2014.
